This Ha Long Bay map at scale 1 : 50 000 realized in 1998 covers the protected area and the buffer zone. It includes a list of all islands of the UNESCO site. This large map is not easy to manipulate and a GIS database would be more efficient to manage this information. Moreover, in a GIS it would be possible to overlay all this information with satellite images.
